Does anyone know the recipe for the cake custard pudding? I had it in one of the hotels and i love it... so anyone?? K.Radha replied. Hi cgr,

Are you speaking of Trifle? If so it is a very easy recipe to prepare. Here are some recipes.

Original Trifle:
1 cake
1 can of fruid salad (drained)
1 pack port wine flavoured jelly/gelatin
1 cup of custard

dice cake place in bottom of bowl and top with fuit, pour made jelly over top and allow to set. pour custard over top and allow to chill

Simple Trifle:
1 Plain Cake
2 packs of fruit flavoured jelly or gelatin
200ml Cream
Fruit of your choice

Crumble the cake into the bottom of a glass dish, mix 1 pack of flavoured jelly to directions on pack and pour over cake. Allow to set, slice 1/2 of chosen fruit and place on top. add another pack of made jelly... Allow to set once more then add whipped cream and top with fruit.

Choc/Rasberry Trifle:

1 pack chocolate pudding
1 cake
2 cups rasberries
1 cup rasberry jam/preserve
200ml whipped cream
extra rasberries for garnish

make chocolate pudding & chill...break cake up and place half into bottom of glass bowl. stir together rasberries with jam, place half over top of the cake and add half the chocolate pudding... add the other half of the cake on top, then the remaining half of rasberries & jam followed by the last of the chocolate pudding. Allow to chill and then top with whipped cream and extra rasberries.
(TIP: you can use strawberries instead if you like)

This is a recipe that I made myself and think it is worth passing on because we all love it SO much

Terrific Trifle:
1/2 plain cake
1/2 chocolate cake
1 cup crushed chocolate cookies
500ml whipped cream
1 pack chocolate pudding
1 pack vanilla pudding
grated cholate

mix crushed cookies with 1/2 the whipped cream. make the puddings to directions. Dice cakes into small pieces & mix together... Add 1/2 the cake in bottom of bowl. pour 1/2 the vanilla pudding on top, then 1/2 the chocolate pudding, followed by ALL the cookie/cream mix... add the other 1/2 of the cake mix, remaining vanilla pudding, remaining chocolate pudding. Garnish with plain cream and top with grated chocolate.
(TIP: you can change the cookies to almost anything you want like diced chocolate bars, plain cookies or anything else)
