I really hope you do not mind me interrupting discussion going on here.

To my best knowledge there should not be ovualtion once girl got pregnant. The ovulation will take place only a few weeks (about 6 weeks or more) after delivering baby.

After implantating the fertilized egg in uterus amouunts of esterogen and progesterone shoots up and this will automatically prevent any further ovulation.

I hope this answers query of Papaya.

Thanks Archie for your reply. I thought so too. Actually I am trying to conceive and thought that this month I had sex just at the right time (just by guessing & counting days & monitoring my cycle). But I had a very slimy discharge a few days before I am expecting my periods. I am not sure what could be that. I don't have very regular periods but sometimes they are regular & sometimes even up to 45 days. I & my husband both work. We are married for almost 4yrs now & want to have a baby but we don't have sex regularly - sometimes 2-3 months pass without having sex. Apparently my husband has a very low sex drive..I want & try but it hasn't worked for me. He has seen doctor too but doctor said everything is okay. I don't know what to do. I am in US. Here gyne says - First you should try for at least 6 months seriously, then go for fertility tests & all. But we have not been able to do so. I can count on fingures the number of times I have had sex in these 4 yrs of marriage. Please suggest something. I have read a lot of your responses and you seem a very helpful & knowledgeable person. I look forward to hearing from you.

Ovulation is a monthly process which occurs after the 10th-12th day of ur periods. Even after you have concieved you ovulate through out. The white discharge is basically the eggs that are not being fertilized.
