I lost 20Kgs last year, by doing something which would be considered pretty wierd by conventional wisdom. I am talking about the Paleolithic diet. It is a diet which mimics the foods we had during paleolithic era, which was before we started agriculture. Agriculture marks the start of neolithic era. Basically all grains and legumes are out, as they require agriculture to collect enough. You can eat anything that has not been processed. That includes lots of fats, that don' t require processing, basically as much ghee/butter/cream as you want. All processed refined oils are out. Unprocessed fish oil is considered very good. Milk is not considered part of the diet, but other fatty dairy products are considered healthy. You can eat meat as much as you want, but preferrably from animals that eat natural food, like wild raised chicken or goat instead of farm raised chicken. You can eat as much vegetables as you want, including potatoes, yams, although they are high in carbs. Incidently it is a myth that potatoes are not healthy just compare its nutritional data with Pomegranate and you will see. It is amongst the most healthy vegetables, just look at the data. Avoid the very sweet fruits as those are a result of agriculture breeding strains that are too sweet. They are not all that healthy either. Almost all of them are less healthy compared to potatoes. Although the diet can be low carb, but it must not be confused with the Atkins diet, as the stress is on natural unprocessed whole foods, and not on carbs. There is science behind it, but this space is too small to cover it.

m planning to follow GM diet ....i want to loose 25 kgs till may !!! ...i need company....as in someone with whom i can discuss everything n take this task seriously....anybody interested in taking up this challenge??
last year when i followed this diet religiously..I LOST 18 kgs!! gained 7 kgs when i stopped following GM diet !!! but m still overweight !!!
this time i wanna do it seriously....i don' t like myself as m overweight..
so who' s in for this challenge??

Being overweight can lead to many health problems and health risks. I really loved the tips given the article and I am going to follow it. Walking stairs for exercise is also very beneficial. Fried foods and sweets must be completely avoided. Keeping a food journal and writing down what you eat is also helpful to analyze and make necessary changes.

The best way to lose weight is to lose weight naturally. The basic reason for being fat is that the intake of calories is more as compared to your burning of calories. I have been trying to reduce weight since a long time and have still not succeeded. Gaining weight is very easy but losing weight is so hard.

The main thing which must be followed while reducing weight is controlling temptation. Sometimes, there will be a cheese burger or pizza in front of you and you will be desperate to eat it. But, you should resist the temptation. You should not tell yourself, only one. You should stop making excuses to yourself and be committed to the goal.
