Due Date Club November 2003:GT -3hours test

Name: Rekha Dear all,
After reading so much about this gestational diabetics on our board, i am really scared...and my doc is doing the 3 hour test GD directly..and its on monday..i have never been a big time sweet-eater but neither do i hate eating sweets. i haveent made any changes to my diet just for the test since if there is any prb it is good to know it so that can act accordingly..
hope things turn out fine with me on Monday...my results will be available right on the day itself..
Wish me luck:-).....will let you all know the result asap..
till then..have a great weekend and have fun..i will be going for the movie Koi Mil Gaya this weekend...

Keep it cool

Hi Rekha,

Good luck with your test on Monday, take a book with you since three hours is a bit long. Don't worry too much about it, I am sure you will get normal results. I've heard that whoever fails in the one-hour test, 99% of them pass the three-hour test. Anyway, good luck again.

Hey Rekha, dont worry about the test. I am sure everything will be fine....

I was stressed out about it too, but I find solace in the fact that I would want to know if something is wrong with me, so that I can better take care of myself and my baby....

So, relax...eat well and have a great weekend. Enjoy the movie.... :)

Hi Rekha,

Do not worry Be Relex. it will effect your Baby, everything is ok and that is normal test do not worry and IT IS NOT due to sweet eaten but some time at the time of pregnency it happen.

hi Rekha. All the very best for ur GTT test. It is better to get the elaborate test first itself, it is cumbersome but at least u know the result the same day. I had my blood test for this and the test result won't be known for some time. Only if the levels are abnormal will they do the GTT and then again there would be wait. So I think it is wise u r getting ur GTT right at the start.
I know we have read loads of scary mails regarding this but we have also read success stories from our dear friends who have cleared their tests with flying colours. I'm sure u will be joining them soon. So keep faith, have a great weekend and relax on the test day.
