shilpa, eating garlic in moderation is very good for health. like p rao said that she ate 2-3 sauted garlic with ghee and had lots of milk and liquids thru out the day. this helped her ease with heartburn.
if your diet has alot of garlic, that garlic blends with the food mostly reducing its own effect altogether and also its chemical bond changes.
but when consumed alone, its flavour and strength is more. just like you bite chillies seperately and you happen to bite one in the food you made,,you will see the difference in flavour and level of its heat.
with ne hot foods like garlic, onions, shallots,or chillies, ginger,,its highly recommended to have a good amt of dairy products in the whole days to reduce their chances of giving you agni(inflamation in stomach due to digestive gases and these foods).

reduce the amt of garlic, garam masalas,in your regular diet, take atleast 3 servings of diary and more is not required,,and eat 2-3 saute garlic, until it turns pink,, in GHEE..it wont give you heartburn. also avoiding spicy foods or garlic in the evenings often helps..

for ne intake of milk or its products,,its always recommended to keep a decent gap of 3hours after eating garlic or ne hot foods, to nullify its total heat/bad effect.

you are doing this because down the line,, you want garlic to give its good effect by getting it well digested and at the same time you want to settle the acid part of it !

hope this explain.

Hi
I have a 2 month old too and garlic has worked for me
I lightly fry the garlic pods with a spoon of butter or ghee and eat 2 to 3 med sized pods with lunch and the same again with dinner.
Also drink plenty of fluids & as much milk as u can.
I have also been eating oatmeal for breakfast every day, I came to know of it's benefits for bm only after reading Hetal's article today, so oatmeal must have helped too :)

I was not breastfeed in my childhood hence the idea of sucking and feeding from a woman's full, engorged breasts has infatuated me. It is a fantasy that drives me wild like nothing else, just the thought of laying my head in a woman's lap while she brings her swollen nipples to my mouth.
