Due Date Club October 2003:Mom's Day Out

Hi Friends,
I want to share my yesterday with u all.As for the last few days i was feeling little low and also lonely so yesterday my hubby while going to his office dropped me at one of his frnd's house to spend time at their place as they have two kids both are son, eldest is 3 yrs old nd youngest is 3 month old.
And i had such a gr8 experience yesterday,as whole day i was playing with both the kids,i saw how to shower them, how to change the diaper, how to feed, how to make the baby burp, how to make him sleep. And the best part by afternoon i was so damn tired tht i slept with both the kids, one was on my left nd other on my right,i was experiencing that motherly feeling. And u know what the baby is going to drive you crazy the whole day nd night, but its worth and its fun.
I thought i shud share this with u all,and hey if u have frnds with small kids spclly a small baby then u shud go nd spend the day with them, believe me u will enjoy so much. And guess wht i will be going to their place almost twice a week now.
And i will make list from my frnd whtever we need for our baby, and also for hospital and will tell u all,as i felt that sometime we just land up buying unnecessary things for the baby, which is just waste and since this is our frst baby so most of us are going to do that(buying unnecessary).
Ooffh i thing its a long mail, hope u all don't get bored reading all this.

Rest all during the day,so all of u take care nd have a nice day!!
Uma

Hi Uma

Glad u r feeling great..and u had a great time. Yes, it takes a lot of patience with kids, and its fun..me and husband are very attached to the kids we babysit off and on and its very overwhelming job. All priorities would change even the days we babysit and I definitely learned a lot from their moms and being away from home, friends help a lot. Add to it seen how childish and playful my husband can be with the kids..u become more realistic about the effort taken and the joy. Till now experienced taking care from newborn-age 5, hopefully will help us when we become parents..
I am just glad to know u are feeling better and looking at the positive side (if i remember right u were feeling a bit down in ur last message)..take care and be careful with kids..my friend doesn't allow me to play as much as i did before, because they jump around..and now am allowed to babysit only if husband is there..so be careful..till then have fun..
I would say if u do have friends who have babies, do offer to babysit unlike being at home in india where u have friends and relatives helping out here we only have friends, because it does take a lot of effort and is a 24 hour job and one hour of off time does help them to unwind and take rest.
take care.
Radhika
