Sleeping:Not sleeing well

Name: Tanya

Hi,
My daughter is 14 mths old...she still doesn't sleep through the night... wakes up at least 3-4 times. She has her dinner between 8-8:30p.m. which is mostly rice with vegs and dal(mashed)...around 9.30 i give her 150ml of milk and put her to sleep. But everyday she wakes up after an hour...and then 3 to 4 times through the night. Sometimes i rock her and sometimes i breastfeed her back to sleep. But i am really exhausted in the morning and even she is very cranky.
Please suggest something to improve her sleep.
TIA

Hi,
I know what you must be going through , why dont you check if there are any mosquitoes where the baby is sleeping or any bed bugs, that could disturb the baby

Hi,
Couple of things to observe and try . How many naps during the day does ur baby get . it is important that she gets proper nap during the day for her to sleep well during the night. Also when she wakesup , she may not wake up actually for milk but to comfort suck, do you co-sleep? this is is easier way to put her back to sleep without having to rock her . If you have a chance try to get hold of the book \";No Cry Sleep Solution \"; , has a lot of insight into a baby's sleep patterns and problems

hi tanya,
my daughter used to do the same and the pediatrician advised us not to feed her when she gets up in the night and even if shes hungry asked us to give her just water so this way ur daughter knows that she has to have a stomach-ful dinner . it worked for us. u may try this .
hope it was useful.

Sleep Problem due to itchy skin
My baby girl is unable to sleep properly due to skin rashes. I have resumed oil massages to help calm her down and facilitate better sleep, using CITTA Baby Massage Oil. Additionally, I am applying the ointment recommended by her doctor for the rashes. Could you please provide me with more ideas that can promote better sleep for her?... - Sanchari Tarafdar [View Message]

RE:How to Develop a Sleep Routine for your Newborn
According to me this is good but then you cannot force your child to sleep as per your wish as kids as really bad in this and they have a tendency to sleep in day and get up in late night so according to me this is not the key to success, please post if i am wrong.... - Anita [View Message]
