My 15 month old is bow-legged right from birth. I have been giving him daily massages ever since, but didn't help a bit. Have also taken him to a child orthopeadics and he said there's nothing we can do about it. My mil has been after me to massage his legs 3-4 times a day, make him wear very tight shoes, etc., but being such an active baby that he is, this is just not possible anymore. BTW, his dad has the same legs, so this is not something I didn't expect before delivery, so doesn't bother me as much. We are planning a trip to India very soon, and I am very nervous about having to answer everybody's questions regarding this. They seem to know better than the doctor! Has anybody been thru the same problem?

Just had a baby 3 months ago and he was born with bilateral clubfeet, it broke my heart when I found out, he has had casts on his feet up to his things since he was 3 wks. He just went for surgery last week and got recasted and I have to wait another 3 weeks to see if his feet are for the shoes with the bar. It was very heart breaking when he went for the surgery. I cried! But, I am adjusting, I think.

Dear Ila,
Don`t worry about the Bow Leg of your baby as he/she is only 15 months in age. Usually all babies are born with bow legs which will be normal by 18-24 months automatically. Sometimes it takes longer time. For you satisfaction, you can check either it is physilogical or pathological (Rickets or Blount`s diseasse) bow leg by an orthopedist surgeon.

I believe cod liver oil corrects rickets or vitamin d deficiency. Is it ok to give cod liver oil capsules to 14-15 month old babies? Please advise
