Name: Roops Hello ladies...have you started taking Kesar (Saffron)..people say that it is good for the baby' s complexion (thou i am not sure if its scientifically proven) i wanted to start but my MIL said its too much of heat and to start after couple of months..what do you say??

Kesar/Saffron

Hi Roops,

I have heard that too - and I started taking saffron milk from mid of 5th month onwards during my first pregnancy. The concern of heat is there - so I havent started yet this time around - am in 21st week. But I am thinking I will start it from 23rd week onwards. My sons skin is peaches and cream now - except he had rashes/eczema after he was born upto 7-8 months. It made me wonder if the Kesar must be behind that - but then found out many kids get those kind of rashes - as their body is repelling some of the hormones from the breastmilk. Not sure what the real reason was - but its gone now. So i am going with the kesar milk once again -)

Saffron now

Hi Roops,

I am in my 21 week now. I started taking saffron everynight' s milk since 20th week. If you believe, you can start from newmoon day or a good day.
It is proven to help baby' s brain development more than complexion stories.

saffron for brain!!

Its nice to read that saffron is good for brain also..i m in 25th week now not yet started to take it..so should we start to have it in rainy season thats in next month..wat u say?
