words fail me when i have to express thanks to you and all on this forum.

i have been a passive reader most of the times, posting only a few queries here and there.. but most of the times i was facing the same problems as others and your replies helped a lot...

thanks a lot for everything..

Dear Prajakta,
Congratulations on arrival of your little princess.

All that welll ends well. I did face similar situation with Advait, last minute surprise and no time to interpret how incorrect the decision of C-section is. Of course on my gynecological visit, which was six weeks postpartum and even for 1 and half year my Ob kept apologizing for that decision. At the same time noticing healthy Advait in hand I had no complains about decision and each stitch was melting everytime I looked at him in the beginning.

Lactation can be slow or fast and is very individual aspect. for first 48-72 hours not lactating is not any uncommon and baby has stored nutrient and won't starve for if there is no milk supply for first 48 hours. With the blessing of formula that worry even is no longer required.

yes, i agree all's well that ends well...

my OB is famous here for a high percentage of normal deliveries and she herself was so sad that i had to unergo a c-sec. as throughout my pregnancy everything was so normal and right...

the baby was occipal transverse and my cervix was dilated to 1.5 cms only till the end.

for the last 8 hours i was getting contractions at the interval of 2 mins with each contraction lasting over a minute.. it was very painful but i tried to tolerate all that in the hope of a normal delivery.

but still the cervix would not dilate - presumably due to baby's position..
finally, the baby's heart beat dropped to 90 - 100 and then they just zoomed me in the operation room.. the OT was readied so quickly.
and i was lucky to have a wonderful team of docs there - the OB, the anasthesist and the paedetrician - all of whom really helped me cope with the last minute decision of a c-sec.
