Due Date Club February 2006:Congratulations-for B

Dear B,
It sure was smart and an excellent decision to bring baby through C-section. Believe it or not but I have had strong feeling C-section would be the best alternative for deliverying your baby regardless at which week Ishika would come to the real world. This was mainly because of hypertension situation and consistant increase of BP in your case. This alwasys made me suspect whether or not you will be in a position to handle labor stress. I used to have thought if you get stubborn for Vaginal birth it would be difficult on baby as well. But here you are and I am so excited that Ishika is sound and healthy to the gestation age she is born.

Ishika's birht weight 3 pound 6 ounce might sound small baby but not that small for 31 -32 weeks baby. So please don't feel bad for that.
Also stop counting her age as a gestational age, now she is in real world and let her be 8 day or 10 days not 33weeks :)

You recovering from C-section is funtasitc news.
I know a case who went in labor both the rounds around 30 weeks. Her both kids are doing excellent. I am sure in a few weeks (15 days or so) Ishika will sleep next to you and you could hold and do everything just the way any mother would.

Hearty congratulations to you and family.
Archie

Dear Archie,

First i want to say thanks so much for all ur kind words and support, you have been fab! u have put me at ease many a times in my pregnancy and are a wonderful person.

Yes i always wanted to have a vaginal delivery but ive got to say c-section was very good its only the first couple of days that are hard but now im nearly back to normal doing what i usually do.

By gods grace my little Ishika is doing fine she is increasing weight, having my milk through both tube and also bottle, she is also trying to latch on to my breast too. She still cant maintain her body temperature but that goes hand in hand with her weight, im sure once the weight goes up everything will be in proportion.

I cant wait for her to come home, it has been a very difficult pregnancy for me and not to have my baby home with me is very hard on my emotionally and physically but my hubby is a grt support as my parents are too, we are all going through the emotions together, im hoping for her to be home in 14-20 days according to how quick she gains the weight.

I would like to ask one question, is there any particular foods i should eat for my milk to be more nutritious and with more calories for Ishika to gain weight well?

I will be definitely keeping in touch with u all.

Again thanks for all ur support and im just counting days to bring my little bundle home with me.

Take care and best wishes

B
