hi archie
i am in my 33 week. yday in the night - 1.30am i had a wet feeling and i went to the loo. i suppose it was urine as sometimes in my sleep i get few drops of urine fallen on my nightie/panty before i wake up and goto the loo. i smelt it and it was odourless n i suppose it was urine. after that there was no wetness or fluid in my panty. i was wondering how we will know when water breaks(will it break so early)? is it continious flow of liquid? i know that it will be like lemon juice color and it will have some odour. waiting for your reply. bye.thanks.fairy.

Fairy,
you did not experience water break. As said by Shilpi you won't miss if that happens. Before you know you will be drenched in liquid and would have musty odour to classify.
Only about 5-8% cases experience water break so don't get too alarmed. Besides you will have 24 hours to reach to hospital from the point of water break.

Hi fairy,
You will not miss water breaking - it will be a gush of hot liquid - sometimes it doesn't break on its own, and during labour the doctor might have to break the bag of water. It is also recommended that u put some waterproof sheet while u r sleeping on ur mattress so that it doesn't get spoilt in case your water breaks.
I have also heard abt water leaking if you are standing/walking - let Archie throw some light on that !
Thanks, Shilpi
