Hi Everyone!
It's been long tim since I have been on this board. I was just very busy with work and then went on vacation.
I just wanted to share what I went through today. It was a very tragic morning. I was driving to work and the car behind me lost the control and slammed through 4 lanes 3 to 4 times and finally rolled over once and came back slamming in all the lanes. And again, within few seconds it rolled 3 times and was upside down on the shoulder. And, I was seeing all this in my rear view mirror, every second I thought he was gonna hit me and take me with him too. But, luckily he tried not to hit anyone, and lost his control. Finally, his car was upside down and he was stuck inside.
I started shacking like anything, but I had courage to call 911 immediately, and pulled over on the shoulder. As soon as I pulled over, I just started crying like anything, I realized that I would have definately lost mine and my baby's life. I sat there for 15 minutes, called my hubby and he consoled me. After talking to him, he suggested I move away from the scene otherwise I will be more in tears. So I did, and came to work, and then I heard on the radio that they had helicopter to pick that guy up, but he was stuck inside his car. I hope he is ok.
The whole day, that scene doesn't go off my mind and just the thought of loosing my baby. He would have definately taken me with him, but he saved mine and my baby's life. I thank God for that.
Today, I realized that how does it feel to loose a baby.
Just wanted to share this with all of you. So, take care of yourself, specially at this stage.

Nikita replied. Hi Arshiya,
So sorry to hear about ur experience and glad and relieved to know everything is fine with u and little one.
Y'day was a nerve-racking day for me too. It had been 3rd day since i felt any movements. Day 1 i thought may be i just didn't notice but day 2 i was paying all the attention to feel something but in vain. Y'day since morning I got so scared. I called doc and took appointment for evening. Then late morning when i was on phone with my hubby, he just happened to ask \";so r u feeling any Bruce Lee kicks\"; and i started crying like anything. For 2 days i was convincing him that its normal not to feel any movements sometimes. And suddenly he hears me crying frantically. he came home immediately and took me to docs. we asked the doc to come too, as he was not going to be in office till evening. And all the time while we were waiting for doc to arrive, I was in tears. Just couldn't control. My hubby was trying so hard to calm me down. Finally when doc did the u/s and we saw the baby moving and heart-beat, we were so relieved.
It was just too scary.
Anyways now its back to normal.
All u gals, take care of urself and very precious little one.
Vindhya replied. Hi Arshiya,
Sorry to hear about your experience. There's definitely someone up there who is looking after us and our babies.
I totally understand your situation. Yesterday, it was a very bad day for me. A little girl ran into my car when I was returning from work. The road was very narrow, I didn't see her coming so fast on her bicycle, as a parked car was blocking the view. It was at an intersection and Thank God I was driving slowly. It was a matter of nano seconds that I put my breaks, and she hit the side of the car. If not, I would've ran her over. I cannot imagine the situation. I was so panicked. The girl did get some bruises in her knee and was bleeding. Some passers-by helped us. Her dad came and picked her up. It was the worst experience I've ever had. I am glad it all ended up well and nothing serious happenned. But, I am still getting over it.
Hope that guy whose car rolled over is safe. Great of him to avoid hitting anyone on the road.
Hope you have calmed down by now.

I am glad that everything was fine with the baby and you. I know sometimes its so scary when they are so silent inside. I also felt the same on last weekend..I couldn't feel any moments for 2days but then doctor told me if there are even 4 kicks in 1 hour then its normal but I and my husband were really scared. But I could count 4kicks in one hour.
We were so relieved.
Hope everything will be fine.
Cheers

Hi Nikita. Glad to hear that you and the baby are well. I can relate to this as even I didn't feel the baby's movements over a weekend, two weeks ago and I was petrified. However, when the baby resumed movements on Monday morning, I was so relieved.
I'm sure it's a way of the baby getting attention 24*7!!
Hope we don't have to go through the anxiety again.
Take care.

Hi Vidhya. Sorry to hear about the little girl incident. I can imagine the anxiety you would have felt in those few seconds. Glad all is well and there was no drastic reaction from the parents, as that could have made things worse.
