hi all , i am from a middle class indian family.my mother family are all well mannered & reputated.my fathers side ,there is a story that, my granmother(i am ashamed to call her granma)has left her all childen(including my father) & left the house, had an affair with another man.she died long time back before, even my father knows wht was wrong.but my aunt, uncle(my father sibblings) & my father are all well behaved & married to reputed spouses.but still i hear from hear & there (from my husbands family), that my granma ran away & wht a third class family root i got ..etc.it is true that she went away .but even though i try to ignore that ,still it bothers me.wht can i do?. I know, no female can hear anything against her family. The only thing u can do is be very blunt next time anybody is telling u anything about it. If they knew that before marriage itself, then u can tell them if u knew this before marriage then u should hv rahter not tied the relation if u feel like this rather than torturing u now like this, or else you can just tell that it was past and ask them to get over past telling that it really hurts ur feeling.
