Dear Friends,
I m facing the same problem. My son is now 2 yrs n4 months old but all he says is mum mum for water, or cheeeji de de (that too rarely) or oui oui when hes hurt. I have spent hours n hours trying to teach him some new words. He learns things fast like pointing to eyes ears nose..doing namaste...but does it with his own wish not when u tell him to. Have been talking to him continuously but of no use. He CAN speak...he keeps on babbling something or the other but shows no interest at all in speaking....PLZZZZ tell me is this normal..I have also been taking him to play with other kids. But no use..What more can I do??is this Normal?`

I had the same thing with my daughter and spent hundreds on seeing specialists to find out the cause... All that money later the answer was simple... I allowed it to go on.

The key is to get him to begin ASKING for the things he wants... As you say he isn't using sentances begin with words... If he wants a drink show him it and say drink pls... ask him to repeat again another 3 times.... everytime he makes an attempt make a big show of it... tell him he is a good boy and reward him with hugs and claps...

If he refuses to try than put the glass down and wait a moment and then go to offer it repeating drink pls again... Keep trying and be strict. Try 3 times(that trying to get him to repeat 3 times in 3 seperate tries) and then give the drink over and let him know that you're feeling sad he can not say drink...

This is the advise our speech threapist gave us and with in a few weeks my daughter was talking ALL the time...

Speech/language delay - 2.3 yr old boy
Hello Everyone

Our 28 months old boy is not speaking simple 2 or 3 word sentences yet. He speaks a few words such as mama, papa, aunty etc but definitely not more than 10. Also, he doesn't understand slightly longer sentences, even when we speak slowly and enact it such as "we'll go out after we eat". Otherwise, he appears perfectly normal. Shoranur kerala samajam Ayurveda hospital review
Hi All,

My son is less than 4 and has been diagnosed to be on the autism spectrum. He is non-verbal. We are taking him for OT and ABA/speech therapy.

Meanwhile, I read about an Ayurvedic hospital called Kerala Samajam hospital in Shoranur. Has anyone gone there for treatment? Any reviews?

Hints for Nursing
Babies eat and eat and eat. Although nature has done a pretty good job of providing you and your baby with the right equipment, in the beginning it's almost guaranteed to be harder than you expected. From sore nipples to tough latch-ons, nursing can seem overwhelming.
