Due Date Club December 2007:list of things for the new born!!
2007-07-06
Name: Nitya

I am expecting in dec and this would be my first child.I was planning to have a list made of the stuffs which would be immediately needed for the child. As in my culture we dont shop for an unborn child I would have to get my shopping done from someone once the baby is born and before I get discharged from hospital. So can anyone suggest what are the things that would be needed immediately after the birth. Awaiting help from everyone !!

Hi Nitya,

Congrats on your pregnancy. I' m due in first week of jan, so we r almost near by due dates. So where are you living? Are you in Indai or U.S or in any other country? If you can specify that i can help you make a list. And also it' s good to make a list for pack up to the hospital while getting admitted for deliver. you know it will hard for our hubbies or any other who' s helping us to understand what exatly we want and where it is at home. So make sure you pack a small bag of thigs you need while you are at hospital.

It' s pretty much the same with culture where ever you are born in India I guess. For my first child it was like that as I gave birth in India. But there will be lot of them arnd us to help adn get things done. But if we are in aboard, it' s better to shop certain things before deliver to have choices of your liking for your baby.

Enjoy your pregnancya nd let me know where you live. You could also google search the list of items and go thru it and note the things that you feel is really necessary before you get to home. like if you are in U.S, you have to have the care seat to bring home the baby.

Take care then!

KR

hi
My son also had the same problem his legs used to shiver my doc said it is due to calcium defieciency b.coz I was calcium deficient. She gave him a tonic for 2 mnths it cured after that. The reason why ur baby' s leg is shivering may be this. Plz contact ur doc and take necessary steps as soon as possible.... - Sahila Gupta [View Message]
Help for your sis in NJ
Ravs, your ideas are out of date, since your sis is in NJ she should join a good prenatal class [Lamaze, Bradley etc] and get updated information, also her physician will guide her on diet and her self care please don' t give her advise based on the info in this mail of yours. Breastfeeding support is also available.... - Sameera [View Message]

Not to worry
If you want a normal delivery, ask your doc first to try vaginal delivery if not then go for forceps delivery where baby can taken out with the help of tongs...
