Hi All,

I am in my 36th week and went for my last ultrasound yesterday.Actually, the doc. told us that the baby is on the bigger side..she weighs 7.4pounds acc. to the ultrasound .

I am really scared..i want to have anormal delivery so wanted to know your exp. and views about this.

- Is it possible to have a normal delivery with 8 pounds baby too?
- Could u plz suggest me ways to have easy normal delivery?

PLz answer as soon as possible.
Thanks
Meenakshi

If you want a normal delivery, ask your doc first to try vaginal delivery if not then go for forceps delivery where baby can taken out with the help of tongs...
Cheers!!!

Hi Meenakshi,

How are you doing? My friend had delivered a 9 lbs baby a couple of months ago and she had an absolute normal delivery. I hope everything goes well with you.

Good Luck,
Jyothi

Ultrasounds are not a hundred percent accurate, late in the pregnancy. I was told I had a big baby, well over 71/2 pounds on the morning of my baby' s birth. Well, when he came out that evening he was 6 pounds 8 ounces. Relax...
And yes I have known of and heard of 8-9 pounders being delivered vaginally.
It all depends on how your labor goes. Do not stress yourself out.

hi
My son also had the same problem his legs used to shiver my doc said it is due to calcium defieciency b.coz I was calcium deficient. She gave him a tonic for 2 mnths it cured after that. The reason why ur baby' s leg is shivering may be this. Plz contact ur doc and take necessary steps as soon as possible.... - Sahila Gupta [View Message]
Help for your sis in NJ
Ravs, your ideas are out of date, since your sis is in NJ she should join a good prenatal class [Lamaze, Bradley etc] and get updated information, also her physician will guide her on diet and her self care please don' t give her advise based on the info in this mail of yours. Breastfeeding support is also available.... - Sameera [View Message]
