Hi,I have delivered 7 days back and it was a c-section.I have started getting milk from the 4th day and im getting very less milk,that too only when im pumping.my baby is not latching.i am able to get milk 2-3 times a day that too less than 1 OZ.Will i be able to get more milk in future?will the supply Increase?im very much afraid.i want to Breast feed my baby.what should i do to get more milk.Please help.Thankyou. swapna replied. Doctors advice to drink water, and juices if possible.. My mother used to give me rice with garlic and methi(fried in little ghee), as breakfast..And, have atleast 4 cups of milk every day.. These is supposed to increase the milk flow..Also, teach the baby to latch on.. Elders in the family might be able to help u regarding that.. Hai! congratulations.please dont get worried.be relaxed.drink lot of fluids.milk supply will surely increase.pump at regular intervals.and dont give up...try to feed your baby.because more your baby feeds the more will be your supply.take fenugrrek seeds in your dishes.garlic in your diet also helps.try nipple shield if you have small or inverted nipple and it will help your baby to latch on.take lot of water,and other drinks like milk or fresh fruit juice.etc.take care.
