iam having problem of less or no breast milk.my baby is on formula.any suggestion for inducing milk?i wish to breast feed her

Hi Reshmi,

Milk will come only after 4 days after delivery. Until that time, its the colostrum (colorless fluid) Take heart...for some it takes few days for breastmilk to come, BUT keep feeding. initially you have to feed every 1/2-1 hr and that is when we feel our milk is not enough or the babyneeds more. It is not true. You feed your baby ON DEMAND. do that every now and then and yes, your body will produce the required amt of milk to your baby. If you want to feed your milk, stop formula and feed ON DEMAND. after 2-3 weeks, your baby will come into a routine....try hard for the initial few days.....all the best.

horlicks with milk

i know for sure horlicks is absolutely fine with milk.. but in pregnancy i was adviced to have mother' s horlicks since it has DHA and some other stuff that are good for the baby...
