I am going to ask you a question that may sound annoying or may seem to be more personal. But I need help desperately. I have two girl children and we are planning to try for one more just with hopes that it will be a boy. My husband is so good to me and loves his girls a lot. I know if we have a boy our family will be complete. Even if it is a girl, we will be happy..but a boy will make us more joyful.. My husband needs a boy child and I somehow want to give him that happiness..

I have made a research starting from Shettles method, Whelan method, Sperm sorting.. etc etc..

Of all Shettles method seems more sensible to me.. I know you are a very knowledgable person and I am sure that you would have done BBT or some sort of ovulation checks to plan your pregnancy.. I know you had a boy.. Did your chart favour shettles method.. May be you did not follow it (since it is your first pregnancy).. But does your chart comply with shettles method.. I am confused because some people say that even shettles method is humbug.. and that it is only 50 % chance

I am also thinking about trying a product by name Genselect, which basically is based on Shettles method.. What do you advice on this.. Can you please look into the link and let me know about what you feel (Genselect(.) com)

I know any child is a gift from God.. But I hope you understand my point..

I can understand how happy you would be if you got a boy child to complete your family. I believe that any method can only improve the probability chances of having a boy baby but it can not completely guarantee the end result. Also happy to note that your family will be happy enough to accept another girl baby if thats the destiny.

If you permit me, may I voice another angle to this discussion. Have you and your husband discussed the option of \";Adoption\";. There are many unfortunate children who dont have a home. If your family can embrace one of those baby boys who dont have a home, you can not only achieve your dream of completing your family with a brother for your two daughters and also help giving a good happy life to the otherwise not so fortunate child.

No, I did not plan as suggested by Shettle. But I highly recommend this as I believe this is the most reliable method than anyother. Remember 50% is lot better than 0%.

Alos choosing sex is lot more depends on timing and environmental factor. It depends on what type of work your spouse is doing. What type of inner garments he wears. What type of food you eat while around ovulation. These all factors will add to another odds of 50%.

I conceived in 5th cycle. first two cycles I had plenty of post ovualtion troubles, fever associated.

Third cycle onward things became OK and in fifth cycle I conceived. What we did in this cycle from last four was we abstained from any intercourse for first 11 days. We ate modest meal not rich in carbohydrates, more of proteins stuff and tried to be on cotton cloths. We did not have intercourse soon I noticed I am post ovulation. And there we noticed a week after I missed period from hpt that I am pregant.

BBT is wonderful along with timing method.
Eat beans and protein stuff. Stay abstained from meat, poultry or diary products from grocery, this will keep you healthy.

We were both open for any sx of baby and this is the way I think all of us should be, but it's individual choice, won't say much.

If cycles are regular then just follow Shttled method. Use of OPK would help a lot. Don't intercourse till you get OPK strong positive.
