the prob iz she does not yet sit.so she iz falling back frm the kneeling position n get hurt..will she learn to sit after holding on to things?
i think she iz learning to sit cuz she sits like w bending her lesgs backward n supporting with her hands on the side (similar to crawling position but bit rised)..my mom said that i never sat like other babies i used to sit like W n was late in achieving milestones.
neways i am not bothered abt all these things but still wanna to share some of ur personal experiences.
how u people manage time?i hardly find any time for the past 2 days

at first she is 7.5months,,all this standing, sitting is going together with her...which will take time for her to chose either of one and give a start to one !! dpneding on what part of her body is able to coordinate well with muscles and movements....
secondly,,falling back from the kneeling position is pretty normal..you have to understand that most babies do that NOT because they cant sit supported or unsupported,,but mostly because its a new thing for them,,and most babies lose their interst in sitting for more than required or let me say, just dont like to sit..
if at all, it was a prob with her bones or backbone,,so to say,,thn by now, your dr must have already cleared you that, or she would actually cry and show her discomfort while being in that position,,which she is not doing,,,
which means that she is doing this because of lack of interest in sitting,,and its pretty much normal !
you have seen her how she does it,,so if you think that she is trying to crawl, help her with that,,put your palm next to her tummy and lift her a bit,,see if she does it,,,or if you think that she is trying to sit,,thn put lots of pillows behind her and make her sit,,with lots of toys that help her to sit n play,,,see if that helps her to sit...
neways, the babies who skip imp milestones like sitting, standing,,and right away start walking,,those will have to sit or stand one fine day,,neways !!!!! which means that as of now, even if they are not ready to sit,,in future, they have to do that activity as being a human nature...have you ever seen a human always sleeping or walking,,he has to sit or stand right,,,jst that way,,right now that steady positions might not be interesting to her physically or mentally,,but later on she will have to do it,,,whether she likes it or not !!!
so you shouldnt be worried about that part, UNLESS, in your next well child check up, your dr tells you that she needs to be taken care of,,with these things,,,otherwise,,i see she is perfectly healthy baby,,8kgs,is good growth,,must say,,keep it up !! she too has to be good enough in holding her own weight,,which she will, when her body is just ready for it,,as a mother,,keep trying,,and motivate her...she will njoy looking at you and coming towards you...
abt the time management,,until 9-10months one hardly gets time,,its then most babies are on something called schedule and you are able to plan well all your day....so a good luck to you until then..
take care,

Its me agian too.your kid is doing the same like mine did.my son is now 2.6 years old.as i mentioned earlierhe dint crawl at all.he used to swim till 10 months while started standing with support he also used to fall down, kneel down and sit.even now i can see him sitting in that way.but he is developing normally.walking, running everything is normal.so dont worry if you ask me i dont consider crawling as a milestone.and this is old wives tale.my grandmom used to say that kids who swim and stand will progress in life very easily, because they did all their hard work as babies itself.

hello jayashree
dont get afraid and dont loose hopes, your son is absolutely fine, and give him the proper tuition and avoid more playing periods of his, and you should teach him at home when you will get free time.... - praglabh [View Message]
