We often assume in an Indian joint family that if majority of family members speak against 1 member,he may be really bad.Therefore all have turned against him.So majority wins!

Same thing happens in a workplace also.If we hear majority of people saying that this particular colleague is bad and not worth talking,he may really be bad.

Instead of believing those feedbacks instantly,do we stop and think that the badmouthed guy must in reality be the victim of gang mentality,and therefore all have turned against him?

Do we ever feel that he must be getting bullied by them,which must be spoiling his mental health?

Do we talk to him privately to hear his side of the story?Maybe all rumours about him turn out to be false!!

A daughter inlaw in a joint family or a colleague in a workplace who may be disliking him may have instigated others against him.Since these instigators are usually charming,all believe him and start following him like a herd of sheep.

If the victim was really a bad,crooked person,as others say,would he not have used his crooked or manipulative mind to turn everyone in his favour instead of making so many enemies?
A manipulator usually has many followers while a bullied person is left alone!And a loner can never harass anyone even if these gangs say!We must remember this golden truth while observing these relationship dynamics in joint families or in workplaces!!


If we do,we will never have gang mentalities in joint families or in workplaces.

Raj replied. All the points stated are absolutely correct as ones’ acceptance in the society plays a major role in his/her development. A bad image of someone may deprive that person of certain opportunities be it professional or personal life. Rekha replied. Most of the time the person perceived as wrong is actually wrong because truth cannot stay hidden for very long; be it as perceived by the society or the other way round.Sometimes situations are as they seem. This can cause people to judge about him or her even though they may not understand under what circumstances he/she is walking his path. Leela replied. It is common issue which is running in the society because rumors will pass so easily and then it depends up on the person whether to believe or not.So we cannot say wrong to any person also.I wish you will understand also. chin replied. the same was happened with me when i joint clg newly was in 11th and i knew few people from my class because we used to live in same city. my school friend was also with me in my class. we all became friends in one group. we had 18 people in our grp and used to enjoy a lot. i am a veryy shy and emotional person. one of my friends started teling stories about me to my schhool frnd who also started behaving wierdly with me and it hurt me alot that he despite of knowing me since childhood bullying me with others and making me lonely. i stooped talking to everyone and got seperated from the grp. after a year my school frnd had bad experience with that frnd and again started talking to me normally. it was too bad experience for me. Kumar replied. It is human mentality to gossip and talk bad about others even through person who does this may very well know that it is untrue. Why does this happen? Because other people' s downfall is usually enjoyable. A real good person never does this. He/she are real careful when talking bad about a person, thinks from different angle, place hiself in that person' s place and then judge a person. But we humans always enjoy gossiping , isn' t it?
