The Secret Smile

Secret smile of a little baby is enchanting. The little face of the little baby with a smile endears one and all especially the sibling. Read on to know how the arrival of baby changes the perspective of the sibling.

The sun peeped through the clouds and the birds chirped in the distance.
"Mummy is coming home today from the hospital, Ajay," said the father.

Ajay was five years old and his eyes opened wide.  He missed his mommy and wanted her home.  Ajay stayed with his nani, while his daddy went to the hospital.

"Today is a very special day.  Your little sister is coming home too," said nani.

"Oh yes…his little sister was coming home.  He forgot about that," thought Ajay.

The keyhole turned and there was mummy holding something wrapped in a blanket.  Ajay ran to her and she hugged him.  His mummy strolled to the white couch and sat down.

"Come say hi to Avni," said mummy.

Ajay stood still.  He was a little nervous to see his little sister.  In fact, he was a little tired of her because that is all they have been talking about for the past couple of weeks.  He did not want her here.

"Come over here," coaxed his mother.

Ajay took little steps and finally reached the couch.  He plopped himself next to his mother and sighed.  He looked skeptically at the little package in his mummy's arms.

"Now I'll let you hold her, but you have to be very careful," said the mother.

Before Ajay could say he did not want to, his mummy placed the little baby into his arms.  Ajay looked down at the little face staring at him.

The pink blanket covered her little body, but her head poked out.  She had soft skin and very little hair.  Her little nose twitched and her fingers tried to grab his nose.  She was just about to start crying, but her eyes caught his eyes.

Ajay was stunned.  He forgot that he did not want her here and started to play with her and made funny faces.

Both his mummy and daddy started laughing and Ajay was positive that Avni smiled at him also.

Let your child also be exited about his or her sister or brother's arrival. Make your elder child feel that his sibling is come only to play with him and for him.

very good post. this is what happens in most homes when a new baby arrives. if the older sibling is told about the responsibilities then he welcomes the new one.

The best time to start preparing for the arrival of baby is before the baby comes.prepare the child for the arrival of a sibling and he will willingly adjust

Ajay was too scared when he came to know that his sibling is coming home. There were different kinds of thoughts in his mind about his sibling. Finally when his mom came from the hospital, holding a small baby wrapped in a pink blanket and gave it to Ajay, he got amazed on seeing that the baby caught his finger tight and was staring at him. Let your child also be exited about his or her sister or brother's arrival. Make your elder child feel that his sibling is come only to play with him and for him. Do you also have such experiences.
