What is this nonsense? What exactly is wrong with being a nerd? Why are you treating it like some chronic illness? This article describes being a nerd in a stereotypical manner, as if anybody who was a shut-in who likes technology but is intelligent is automatically a loser. Those are completely different things, that have nothing to do with being a nerd, and even when they do, it's not a bad thing.

i am a working mom, my son is two years old. i am working from home, my son come and press the restart button of the computer. it is very annonying. then i make him sit on my lap and then he love to press the numlock button of the key board and feels happy because he put the light off and on. can any one suggest what to do. should i start teaching him about alphabets or not ????

i fully agree with your views. in our enthusiasm to win the rat race of whose child is smarter, we not letting a child enjoy his childhood as he should. he may thank us one day for just being there for him and let him enjoy this most beautiful phase of life while growing up. i hope more people realise this and spare many of the children from being rats in a rat race.

hi rashmi if would be a good idea to expose alphabet/words using some software, but his fingers joints are not yet mature enough to press the keys. you can expose him to book softwares that have stories and words being spoken are highlighted. that will help his vocab to grow and his ability to associate words with sound etc...
