I reward my kid if she does something useful in a week. May be ice cream or take a stroll in the nearby park. She seems to be enjoying more with this reward system that I follow religiously. Good article!

nice tips. but i think that it would help more, if kids were involved more often in something which requires responsibilities and something that is different from daily routines, like if you've got a function or an event at home. this gives them hands on experience and understanding about the situations while they have fun at the same time.

how to keep a watch on the child and ascertain that he is spending the pocket money without harming himself, if he is secretive by nature? is that not ok if we assure the child that we are ready to fulfill your needs whenever a demand arise?

you are concerned that pocket monruy is disaooearing are u . well here is one solution . tell your child to write an account of what he spends .i as a student living alone here because then i gave ideas on where my money goes and i fon't have to look at my bank nook to know how much i have . basically draew a table with three simple collums in a book date ,place or purpose amount spent dom impliment it it works and believ me no child is too young to do it . you can have a look at it when you please and also your child doesnot have to tax his brain thinking what he did with the money .

not easy as that really. pocket money vanishes in a jiffy and we end up paying for stationery and everything else. they never put back the things they scattered and again we end up reminding and fuming up. chores are taken up so reluctantly and with so much of sibling rivalry that we feel we better leave them alone.
