 i think that something should be mentioned on this site about how to parent a pregnant teen or a teen who has recently been raped. also might want to try interviewing teens to get first hand thoughts of why a teenager experiments with the things that they do.

 young people do not do drugs to be the life of the party they do drugs becease it changes there state of mind and it is enjoyable and it helps them to escape the reality of thier lives which most can be hard. many young people do drugs becease of depression and to escape into another word of fun

 first off, i have not read the article but, i am a freshmen of high school and i can say that drugs amoung teens are extremely bad. drugs are not something that should be taken lightly. they are illegal, wrong, and immoral. i think anyone who is dumb enough to do drugs just because it's "fun", has no life anyways, and probably will die before they are 20!!

 i'm 14 years old, and in the eigthth grade my thoughts on drugs are they are not cool! how do i know? i watch my parents recover from drugs there is no way you can be careful or make sure you know what your taking....all is bad for you and you can't hide behind your problems this makes it worst when you sober up they are worse than before...and even greater...then it leads to depression....and other things......i have seen it and i choose to learn from it and not to repeat the same process that my parents did......maybe i can help teens who think this is cool change there thoughts on drugs....my mom is now recovered and gave her life to god.....and is freely talking on the matter to me she knew i knew what was going on the whole time ....she stated out with smoking dope...and lead to many other things......thank god for deliverence.....know god has given me a perfect family.....

 dugs is some thing that will not get you out of the problems you have in your life as a matter afact it brings more drama to your life. lose control of your self and lose the respect that people suround you. lose the trust of the love ones in your surondings. it's so sad that teens this days think that drugs is the way out of their problems. hopefully what i just wrote will help some of you special teens. and don't trip off what people will think of you. all what matters is that you will fill better about your self. and trust me i went thru a lot of shit untill i real lise that i needed to chang. and now i fill so proud of my self and i don't fill so empty inside and i have the best realation ship with the peple i love especially my lord that looks out for me every day of my life.thanks for your time and be real careful.

 im 14 yrs old and a freshman in highschool-i recently quit smokin cigarette's...but i still pop pills, smoke weed, drink alcohol,and ive smoked cocaine with weed (premo), i also steel from the mall.. a few weekends ago my friends got arrested for under age drinkin.. i left 30 minutes b4 the cops got there. my rents r strict so when i get out n i do bad like that. its not so bad if u do it once in awhile but when i look back on that night my friend should of been dead when he blew his breath-a-lizer test with a .299 the machine then turned off because it was so damn high. and the bad thing is i drank about the same amount.. now i have depression and i yell and threaten to runaway my rents think i need counselin and maybe put me in a foster home.. i have alot of things positive in my life.. all my gurls and my b/f who loves me so much and is always there for me then i have volleyball tennis and softball..along with pitching for sball.. i dont want to ever be known as a pothead crackhead pill popper alcoholic..none of that i need in my life but it does ruin ur life so u may think that by not doin drugs a goody-goody person but really ur mature and more responsible and it just shows u want a good life and control of it to!
