Junk food ads targeting kids

Children should be taught to ignore junk food advertising. Children should be taught the importance of good, healthy and nutritious food. Children often make demands based on the junk foods like sugary and fried foods they see in ads. Even children as young as six are influenced by ads.

Advertisements can have negative effects on children. They can have a negative influence on children if parents are not careful. Parents must say a firm No, if the demands of children increase. Advertisers can also make ads which target the entire family and not the children specifically.

Yes, a lot of times children make demands for products they see in advertisements. I have seen a toy being frequently advertised on T.V. I have seen a child in a mall crying till the parents brought that product. I saw the small child in the mall kicking, pinching and hitting his mother till she brought the toy.

Advertisements do have srious impacts on the way kids think.... and also if proper ads are viewed by the child then the child can actually learn good things... as in my child likes the colgate toothpaste ad... and well he follows the same method of brushing as shown on tv... but on the contrary there are also some ads which should not be shown to kids.... because they simply follow it.. and at this tender age.... such an exposure is not required
