Shy Kids:My Kid do not talk out of home

I have a strange problem with my 2.5 years olg boy. He speaks very fine at home or with family in car. Whenever he is in the KG, or even with us among other strangers, he stopps taking. He does not speak a word, and do not even answer questions (even to me or his father). Can any body help me?

Dear Mam,
First of all you stop worrying. As a professional I believe, we need to respect the pace of learning. Some children take time. Please do not push him. Rather take the approach of gradually introducing one friend, take to the park which is less crowded. And also as a mother you must know these kind of children have tremendous observation power, which is one of the best quality needed for both personal and professional life.

hi Maya,
Even my daughter has same problem, but as Dr. Itishree has said, she has a very good observation power, infact her memory n her learning skill is really good. the only problem with her is she don´ t speak much or u can say she don´ t mix up with other children b´ cos she is the only child in the family. Don´ t worry, take ur son to park, send him to play school, n have patience,n let him explore his own world, dont push him into anything of ur choice.
