Menstruation:Non-stop spotting/bleeding
2007-08-23
Name: helpme

I am a mother of a 10 month old baby. I got my periods after six months of delivery. Then the seventh month got periods normally. Eigth month too normally during which I had undergone a loop insertion. Then in the ninth month, since there was an occassion which required me to visit the temple, I needed to delay my periods for which I had the tablets. But I took the tabs just 2 days prior to my periods, so I got my periods (not exactly on the actual date, but a few days later - due to which I had to postpone the event.

Alright, now for the 10th monthly period, I started noticing spotting one week prior to the actual period. It continued for one week and then on and on. In between the bleeding increased which I supposed to be the period. Bleeding reduced and little little again - this was quite upsetting since I was always on pads. I met my gynaec. since this was going on for three weeks. She examined internally and said nothing is wrong, its the normal bleeding. I told her that this has been going on for so long so I was worried and thats how I decided to see her. I also told her about the tablets I had taken. She said that iss the cause!!

Now the problem is bleeding is continuing. The amount is small but I cannot go without a pad.
I do not experience any pain or cramp or any discomfort.

Can anyone pls. advise as to what is wrong with me? My friend told me one incident where one of her relatives had this continuous bleeding, later diagnosed as Cancer!

Pls. help

Girls you don' t need to panic but I think the right move would be to see a gynae. In all probability this would be a hormonal issue and nothing more serious. But do take some steps to meet your doc soon.
