Your eyes are the windows to your soul. And healthy, sparkling eyes
are the sign of a well-adjusted, happy, human being. Needless to say that
this is a very attractive quality as well as a sign of true beauty. Something
that every person aims for.
Now how does one go about achieving this It's quite simple really.
One must try to remain calm and relaxed in the most adverse circumstances.
Life does not always go the way we want, but always works out best in the
long run. If we are accepting and content with our lot then our path automatically
smoothens out. But this is the way to true inner beauty. Let's see how
we can handle these windows to our soul externally.
The easiest way is through make-up. You can always emphasize or intensify
the shape and colour of your eyes with the help of a kohl pencil, eyeliners
and eye shadows. But the best way to maintain that inner sparkle is to
take care of your health. Avoid long hours and do not overstrain your eyes.
How Should We Avoid Eye-Strain
One of the most common causes of eyestrain is inadequate lighting while
reading or even doing housework, like cleaning, mending or sewing. This
causes a weary, dull feeling that can simply be avoided by proper lighting.
Another common fault is the angle at which you tend to hold a paper
or book while reading. People generally tend to hold it too close to their
eyes and strain them in the process. The correct method is to hold the
book about ten inches away from your face. i.e. neither too close nor too
far. The same goes for watching television or when using the computer.
Lastly, if none of the above tips seem to help, then you must consult
an optician to check your number. Do not worry as you can go in for contact
lenses. In any case, nowadays spectacles have become a wonderful accessory.
If you already have spectacles, then make sure you get your eyes tested
every two years or so in order to keep a check on your number.
Simple Home Remedies For Tired
Eyes
1. To soothe tired eyes, dip cotton pads in chilled milk and place on
closed eyes for 10 minutes. Now relax completely.
2. Alternatively, you can place slices of cucumber or grated cucumber
on closed eyelids for about 10 minutes and relax completely.
3. To completely relax the eyes and the surrounding muscles, close
your eyes and think of something that is pleasant or soothing and at a
distance. Now gently open your eyes and look into the distance. Next focus
on an object at arm's length. Do this extremely relaxing exercise four
to five times a day.
Make Your Eyes Sparkle
Soak 1 tsp. dry amla in one cup of water overnight. Next morning strain
it through a muslin cloth and then add one extra cup of water. Splash your
eyes with this solution each morning and watch your eyes sparkle.
Problems With Puffy Eyes
All you need to do is grate a potato with its peel and apply on your
closed eyelids for about 20 minutes and relax completely. You may even
take a nap. You will wake up feeling extremely fresh.
Tips For Dark Circles
1. Apply cucumber juice below your eyes every night just before going
to bed.
2. Mix the pulp of a quarter tomato, turmeric powder, lemon juice and
gramflour (besan). Apply this mixture on your dark circles and wash off
once it dries. |

Comments: how to make your lips look more luscious??? First, make sure they are not dry...you dont want to show off dry scaley lips. you should always use a lip balm with spf in it. Use a lip liner pencil the color of your lipstick, out line the outer part of your lip, then apply your lipstick. Blend in your lip liner very well. After applying and blending the two, add lip gloss. Kiss the back of your hand for extra lipstick and you are ready to go...hope this could help.

Make sure you are eating the right kinds of oils, and also, gently apply cocoa butter to ur eye area everynight. As for dark circles, get used to it. It is genetic for Indian people to have dark circles in that area, because it is an area of high blood supply. All you can do is conceal it with makeup. As for wrinkles? They cannot go away without plastic surgery, which I do not recommend because do you really want to risk, to cut your face in order to fix something only you probably notice? Don't do it :) God gave you that face, so you should love it, and take care of it. Get enough sleep! Stop late night tv / computer watching. Eat healthy! It's that simple.

Hey Everyone: I have been a US licensed Cosmetologist since 1982, operated and owned a high end beauty salon and have worked with Plastic surgeons extensively so know all the procedures. I have also had dermabrasion on my face because I had acne scars. I was the first 'olive' skin any plastic surgeon has ever worked on in the US and I have to say that I am not only pleased with the results but very fortunate. However, the procedure needs to be redone every 10--12 years for additional refinement. I will get a laser treatment next time.
To give you advice, despite what you read, the only way to remove dark circles is the way I did: with the help of a plastic surgeon. Dark circles are hereditary but I had 5 treatments of the 'blue light' which removes the dark pigmentation permanently and although the dark circles have disappeared, the outline and indentation of the skin still remains and cannot be removed unless it is cut out and reattached through plastic surgery not recommended). I am not going to have that procedure.
The other stuff you read about, lemon juice etc. works like a mild bleach but I still need to find a person it has really worked on.
EYELASHES: To get them to look thicker (they will NOT grow longer or thicker believe me) apply several coats of mascara. You can also apply fake eyelashes, either glue them on one lash at a time or apply a whole upper and lower lash. Remove them at night before you go to bed.
Changing eye color: Not possible without contacts. There are some fun colors out there.
Puffy eyes; Due to a accumulation of water or fattty tissue or both. Only removable during an eyebrow lift.
Yellow Eyes: Again a lot of Indians and Africans have what is called 'muddy eyes'. No way to change that yet. Although you may have a form of jaundice that needs to be treated by a doc.

promote eyelashes growth...rub castor oil, linseed oil, or vitamin E on lashes and lids at night. Helps in and promotes in normal growth. Or you can get a drug call Xalatan..which treats people with glaucoma. The side effects of this drugs are darken of eye pupil and eyelashes. But of course this drug is through prescription only. FRUIT MASk...mashed avocado, yogurt and 1 teaspoon of lemon juice. Things don't happen over night! You will see result with good practice daily and faithfully! Comments: I use regular tea bags for eye puffiness. Take two bags, one for each eye; add warm water just to moisten bags and get the tea leaves wet. Can use cold water too. Press bags on eyes and make sure the actual tea gets on lids and on puffy parts. Works great for me. Sometimes I leave the actual tea on my eyes under eye makeup.

Comments: to "Darkeye" from melbourne, victoria...hemroid cream doesnt actually work for dark cirlces and puffiness under your eyes, it used to years ago but they took the leading ingredient out of it that makes it work. Try using the new eye cream from clinique. Apply it all around your eyes at night with all your makeup washed off and then again in the morning..you can put makeup over it. Also start drinking Rooibos Tea. Its an all natural Herbal tea but dont drink it in the morning it makes you a bit drowsy. It also helps with chronic headaches and mild insomnia.
