Single Parenting:Single mother as husband disintrested in Family

Name: Krupa B Hey,

I have been married for 12 years now. And all these 12 years have had the feeling husband has no intrest in a family life. Family meaning Wife kids. He is very much interested in taking care of his parents and brother etc., Have a son 10 year old now since the day my son was born he has not shown interest in raising him. Have been practically doing it alone for all these years and live only for his sake. but these days am feeling low and scared of future. I had to quit my job and have no source of income. My husband does not show any interest planing for son' s future though he provide us with 2 meals a day and a roof on the head just enough to survive, but not enjoy life. as my son should.
I came across this single parenting site, If there are any moms out there who have similar issues we could also share and get srength from each others support

I tried talking. But he says we are and dismisses it. But he never does anything to make us feel part of family. We are most of the time left out as out casts. Never even have dinner together while he and parents do. He tries to avoid taking us out anywhere. Even when we forcibly take him out fo rmovie. h emakes the experience very bad for us by constantly complaining and makes sure we never get to enjoy :-(
I do want my son to enjoy life as other kids do. But not able to do it alone. So looking for some parents like me who can meet up and go out for a change
