Name: Rhea Hai,

Has everybody decided on the names? Me n DH still arguing over it. Does anybody know thw meaning of the name \";Shanmati\"; or \";Shanmathi\";? I came across this name somewhere and liked it very much. Yet to tell DH abt it. If I tell him he will immediately ask me the meaning. So i have been searching the net for long but not able to trace anything abt this name. Does anybody now if it is a Tamil name and wut the meaning is?

Shanmathi

Hi Rhea,

I don't know the meaning of the name. But I had a senior in school who had that name. Her parents coined it after their own names \" Shankar\" and \" Sumathi\" to become Shanmathi. If I remember right her brother was named \" Sumankar\" !

Good luck with the name selection. Are you the same Rhea who is in Madras? Yeppadi irrukke? You are due Oct 3rd right? All the best!

My mother has reached here before my daughter, so we are all relieved. I think both your name choices are nice. We are still undecided on names inspite of my due date approaching quickly.

Your granny is very likely to be right. They just have a knack of knowing these things in advance :)

Hai TA,

Its the same Rhea. Naan nalla irukaen. Hope the same from u. I have been reading posts regularly but long since i posted. I did post my update here last week but dint get any replies :(

Me n DH liked this name Shanmati. I also heard that it means good thinking. Do u think this name is nice or aditi is nice? I am also searching for boy names and dunno which to select.

Am due on 2nd Oct. Granny says I might deliver a little early.

Hope ur mom arrives before ur daughter :)
