Milestones:Rolling over

Name: twinmom

Hello,

am a mom of twins who will turn 4 months in the next 5 days. They were born at 34 weeks. They fortunately did not have any problems due to preterm delivery except jaundice which was usual. The 3 month appt. went well where the dr. said they are not like premies anymore.
We did not put them on tummy too much due to the fear of vomitting as one baby had acid reflux. Now 1 baby has good neck control than the other and none has rolled either from back to tummy or tummy to back yet. Is there anything we can do like a exercise to help them rollover by the time they complete 4 months?

hi console -
your kids rolled over at 6 m
if a kid does that - but does that not mean he is a slow learner?

my first kid rolled over at 3.5m
but my second baby is 4+m but hasnt rolled over. I know kids take their own time. But if a kid is taking time, is he supposed to be \" slow\" ?

hai roopa....it is not necessary that if kid rolls over late he will be slow.it depends upon kids.my son is 2.6 years now.he rolled over by 6 months and walked by 14 months.but my daughter is 13 months now.she too rolled over by 6 months, but after that she was really fast and started to walk at 11 months.so with my personal experience i will say that they will delelope at their own.we dont have to worry about them unless their pediatrition says there is something wrong or your instinct says so.take care.

Please dont worry and give them some more time.each baby is different.my 2 kids were full term without any complications.still they rolled over only by 6 months.if your pediatritions says everything is fine with him then dont worry.let him take his own time.

hello jayashree
dont get afraid and dont loose hopes, your son is absolutely fine, and give him the proper tuition and avoid more playing periods of his, and you should teach him at home when you will get free time.... - praglabh [View Message]
