My son is 2 andhalf months old, nowadays he is not having his milk in 2 hour schedule, he refuses milk if i give him and takes a long stretch of 4 hours during daytime. i am really verymuch feared abt this, but late in the evening he takes every 2 hours. Is anything wrong with him but he is active with poos and pees normally.plz help. Hetal replied. hello, check with your dr. for 2.5month old, there could be many reasons for baby not drinking enough milk,,and sometimes they do that..once a week,they want more and more and the other day they observe fast :)),,its ok as far as there is no decrease in his weight or he is not gassy !
now soon your baby will mature to 3months and over, which is to consider that now her schedule will slightly move to taking milk every 3-4 hours a full bottle or complete milk..

as far your baby drinks 5/6 feedings or on demand 5/6 feedings of 4/7 ounces each in 24 hours,,its not a matter of concerns ! also to add, 1-2 oz here and there is okay !
for some babies their 3rd month habits start as early as 2.5 months & for some it starts at 3.5 months,,,so consider that too.
check with your dr,,check his weight weekly at home and keep an eye on his temperature, poop and pee schedules !
