Hey Ruchira
I am sorry that your husband's parents spoke to him the way they did...but let it be...you guys have made your position clear and just stick to it...
There is no way that their relative will sponser their ticket..its plain dhamki and dont get fazed by it...I am shocked that they can be so selfish and greedy...
Since, you guys have put forth your position, let the matter rest. They will surely want to rake it up again but your stand should be same...
We would all love to invite our parents here but it cannot be always possible, atleast not till we have saved some money for the same...

Take care!

hi girls..
u know wot i think.. i dont even believe my mil when she says tht her sis will buy the ticket..its just so sick the way they treat my hubby..and yes for more than last 15-20 days i speak to this elative only when she calls..i have always been a loving person.. n also very true..so all these dirty games put me off. when my hubby said tht she can afford the ticket coz she is well settled... they accused him of being rude and badtameez..grr to them.. love to u guys

Good that atleast made a early start.....by refusing to talk to ur in-laws...about that relative sponsoring ur in-laws ticket...let them do....no relative is that \";DANVIR\";, to sponsor and spend $1000 on their tickets...for now just drop that topic...let your in-laws think u guys r fine with that relative sponsoring their ticket....If really it comes to that ...then u can cross that bridge when it comes...

This will give messege to ur in-laws that every time DHAMKI or force won't help...U be strong in what u said...

Don't worry...

You have made your point clear . You cannot sponsor their ticket . If their relative in your biulding can .... great !! Let her . You can sit silently on it for a month or so or untill Diwali .

I think this relative is interphering too much . You and your husband need to sort things out with her . Build distance from this woman . She appers too much interested in your family .
Do not let her \";open a window \"; into your home .

Should a single man live with his mum in India?
I am a man in my late 40s and I have lived abroad in USA for the past two decades. I never had any interest in marrying or having kids so I never married. Recently my Dad passed away and my mother will be alone. I have made enough money to retire comfortably but because I am used to the American lifestyle I can't live in India. Recently my relatives have started saying tha... - Venkat Dabri [View Message]
