My 3-year-old kid hates Karela. But since it' s good for health, I made this nice bitter gourd chutney yesterday. The recipe I read it in Femina sharing it here.Try it!

Ingredients
1 medium sized bitter gourd, 3 green chillies, 1 medium sized onion, 5gms of tamarind, salt to taste.

To season
Half teaspoon mustard, 1 dry red chilli, half teaspoon urad dal, half teaspoon chana dal, 1 pinch asafoetida, curry leaves.

Method
Chop the onions and the bitter gourd. Take 1 spoon of oil in a pan. Sauté the chopped onion and bitter gourd for up to 3 minutes or till they lose the raw smell.

Grind the mixture coarsely along with the tamarind chillies and salt.
Take a teaspoon of oil in a pan and prepare the tadka of mustard, asafoetida, red chilli, curry leaves, urad dal and chana dal. Put in the ground bitter gourd-onion mixture and stir for another 2 minutes.
Can be served with paranthas, dosas etc.

So my sister’s child is a very fussy eater. She generally makes veggie cheese rolls or sandwiches to get her to eat her vegetables. She tries to use colourful and pretty veggies to get her to eat.
