Waiting to try:One more question..

Hi Archie,

I have some doubts.

1) Is it safe to drive a two wheeler while we are in the initial stages of pregnancy?

2) I eat a cup of cereals in the morning for breakfast. Should I eat more while ttc or can I continue with the same.

3) Is climbing stairs harmful? In my office to go to canteen I have to climb three floors. Generally I go three times a day there (morning coffee, lunch and then evening coffee)

4) What other precautions are required?

Dear Meenu,
Good to know your made mind to give a try.
I am doing good and counting my last weeks of pregnancy.

1) No antibiotics don't really affect conception. Rather some studies show that some couple were benefited from antibiotic treatment. Essentially they will kill all flora and make environment free of infectious agents.

2) Cereals is good choice and you can choose to eat same or increase. They will provide some minerals and folic acid. If you are taking Folic Acid, Iron and stuff in pill form then you won't need to change your breakfast deal:)

3) Stairs is one worrying thing. Probably you don't know many miscarriages happen even before knowing it was conceived. So I would have to mentioned to be on safer side try to reduce your trips to this Canteen, if you can. May be lunch is unavoidable but try to skip both or at least one of the coffee trip. I know sounds like scaring you, but after one miscarriage for unknown reason I would have to ask you to make sure you are taking most possible care. At home also try not to do lot of house activity, hopefully you have family to help or intervene husband for domestic work.

4) Two wheeler, if that's scooter or sort of then it should be OK. Cycle may be not a best option but again if you drive normally every day there is high chance that such driving will not affect your pregnancy. If you can take bus or taxi is best, or be careful while driving. I will comment on this more once you know you are pregnant.

If cycles are of 28-40 days it's difficult to predict fetile days. Try to work with your BBT and cervical mucus. Also do not have sex until CD11 and from there have only once a 24 hours or once a two days.

Good luck
Archie
