Routine Tests:3rd month- lot of anxiety

Hi,

I am 8w pregnant for the first time. I am having those regular issues like nausea, fatigue, breast tenderness, etc. But one thing is very unusual happening. I am having hell lot of anxiety which makes me go haywire and restless that I feel so scared at times as I cannot sustain and survive this. My doc said everything happens in 3 months. I feel she brushed me off and didnt hear properly. I am in contact with Dr. Sheela Mehra at moolchand, new delhi.

Can anyone please help me know if this is normal, or if not then what shud I do?

hi himani,
congratulations for ur pregnancy .the thing about first 3 months of pregnancy is that the hormones are at their peak.so all their effects would be exhaggerated and it is subjective how u deal with it.to make u feel better ill say, its a good omen that ur having these symptoms as those who dont have them would develop some complications through out the pregnancy...so consider urself lucky.
about the anxiety issues, try learning the breathing exercises or just take long breathes when ever u feel anxious.that should calm u down..
lastly dont be scared..pregnancy is a normal thing.everyone has been through it every woman..its a part of womanhood..u have 32 more weeks to go...enjoy the experiance

Hi himani.. its happening with me also. I did a HPT yesterday and found it positive (in my 6th week now). This will be my 1st pregnancy and cannot tell you how excited i am at the moment, but scared also. Just wishing every thing goes well... We have been triyng from last 5 years. After every treatment the doc has told us to go for an IVF. But wanted some time and this month.. it happened... Still cant beleive..Just keeping my fingures crossed... All the best to you.

hey it happens with everyone... i had bouts of epreesion... people say it is time to enjoy but God help... i never enjoyed a single moment. still then i used to read books and listen to songs and if possible listen to gita stotras by lata mangeskkar, it realyyyyyyyy helps and spend some time on ur own. Just you and yourself it really helps. think of the good time coming ahead. and eat good food and fruits and juice ...
