Hi all ,

Im a mother of a 8 months old baby boy .. i have few q's to ask abt baby stuff .. sometimes i feel like im not good in developing my baby , i dnt know how to teach him , recently i started to read book to him , but i think he dnt like it , he's not listening to me and play around , and most of the playtime i just let him to play alone , he just move around the house using his tummy , somebody pls tell me wat are the things that i can do to stimulate the baby brain and make him smart ... and im not sure wat toys to buy for him and i need suggestion for some good books .. my baby still not that good in sitting but he is very active , he loves to stand , is it ok if i make him to stand for 10 - 15min .. Pls advice me ..

kids at 8 months do not have a lot of attention span, so dont worry if he is not listening to you. Dont give up yet, even though he is not listening to you he is still able to comprehend the fact that you are reading to him. My son did the same now when he is 16 months old, he brings books to me and demands i read to him :) .Try and get colourfull books that have big pictures, that would hold their attention a bit more.

If you kid is comfortable standing 0-15 min then allow them. Remember they are the best judge of what is okay for them. if he is not comfortable he would sit down himself.

My son is one year old and he is not doing few things a one year should do !!
He does not point at things
He does not say Amma or any words
He does not pick up any objects and show to me

9.5 months milestones
My DS is 9.5 months old and does not clap wave or point at things !! I will put down a list which he is good at and which one worries me.

He is good at :
