hi

my baby is 4 months old...and i am joining work in 3 weeks from now. I have started getting my baby used to bottle feeds...but would like to continue breast feeding him morning and evening for next 4-5 months.

Can someone suggest how use of a breast pump can help me maintain my milk supply? also is it worth the while using breast pump for this purpose or should i wean my baby and put him on formula or cows milk totally?

There is no need to wean.you can buy a battery or electric breast pump and pump your milk at regular intervals around 2 to 3hrs.when you are at home you can feed your baby directly.it is worth to buy a breast pump for this purpose.because your baby is getting nutrutious food.cows milk should not be given to babies under a year of age.

According to my gyno, I have some special hormones due to which i can easily lactate and due to that my motherly instincts are extremely high. I was lactating until 1 yr back & I still can induce if i want to breastfeed anyone.
