It was a very good experience being bald, because, the barber to whom I usually go, he takes a much care for me and shave very smooth.

Dear Girishji,After December' s zero machine cut and keeping tuft of about 2 inch yesterday I had asked the barber to visit my house today.Accordingly he visited and gave machine cut to children and when my husband sat for his cutting,the barber started for machine cut without any attachments.When work is done partially the current was switched off and machine could not be run.They waited for few minutes but it has not came. As the barber could not wait long and half cutting is done without any attachment,means like tonsure barber asked nothing can be done except full shave.My husband also had no option and agreed for full tonsure.It appears very good for my husband to have tonsured head with tuft left as it is.Any way this time it is over and next we have to see

With reference to your post dated 9.4.2015 on the subject, I just want to narrate the story about my wife´ s short hair cut, which made her to go for the hair cut.
She was working and had different timings of her duty hours, sometimes early morning, sometimes afernoon and even evening and night duty´ s too, that made her mind to go for hair cut to save the time on its hairdo.
My father & mother also backed the idea of her short hair cut as they had seen her doing all the office activities as well as home activities.
Moreover, her friends and colleagues in the office, college and our natives too, appreciated her new look. As a result of time saving, she continued with her hair style and I personally do not have any objections for sporting the hair cut she presently has.
Though I am branhmin and doing the poojas for Ganeshji and Satyanarayan, I am sporting clean shaven head with 9 to 10 inch tuff and small portion around the said tuff.
The question of swallowing the wife´ s regular hair cut does not arise.
It is ones wish what is right for himself/herself. I am not forcing to anybody at my home to adopt very hardline of our tradition.

GOOD, that your husband has accepted your request for clean razor shave, though its a surprising to you.
Ask him to continue for ever during his life time. You would also experienced that none of the society, normal people do not have time to tease or pass any remark, rather they encourage you for such acts.
However, have you done any time gundu in your life till date? does you sport old traditional hair do or having any fashionable cut like, BOBCUT, MUSHROOM CUT, BOYCUT ETC?
I advise you, you also go for some fashionale hair cut, like Mushroom Boy cut, which is very short around your nape and clean shaven by razor and ears are shown clear i.e. hairs are above the ears around 1 inch, the other remaining hairs too are short all over the head, looks very good. My wife sport the same for past so many years. Just don´ t ask your husband and children for clean shaven head, you also join them in this act.
As usual, I have done my gundu today afternoon which clean shave of the head leaving good length tuff and small bunch of hair around the tuff. My family members are encouraging my act, even our society people and in around our area know people too give good complements.
Please revert about your hair do. Try some fashionable hair cut, forget about people around you, but convince your in-laws and your parents too. Get the blessing of them. Now, since, summery is in progress, go for short hair cut, if possible for gundu, which you can get at in one of the renown temple around you.

Dear Girishji,You have kept silent for long time,are you busy in work.How your triveni sangam trip preparations.Are you not getting tonsure until your trip. Asper your advice,I was getting tonsured for many times even my wife and children were showing reluctancy. Last time due to wife´ s brother´ s daughter marriage I was asked by my wife to get the haircut about 15-16 days earlier and as such I had got tonsure.Since 3-4 days again I was told by my wife to get whatever cut I want as there is marriage of daughter of my wife´ s sister on 12th April.I was not caring but today again she asked to go for haircut as she wants 15-20 days gap before marriage.Hence today I wnt to barbershop and got tonsured with leaving long tuft as it is.Barber done the work with rinsing the hair about two inch length.put the cream, brushed thoroughly and after putting new blade done the work nicely,again putting razor reverse and done the headshave smoothly. I returned to home and my wife welcomed with smile and told anyway you got this cut today not previous day of marriage.I think she is now slowly adjusting to the condition and even tuft is tied she is not telling anything.Anyway it appear me as I can continue it in future.

Hallo k girish, I told mu husband several times to go for clean headshave that too after many many days of his headshave on tarpan day that too when panditji told him to get headshave and do tarpan work.Last Sunday I asked the barber to come to my house and give haircut/ headshave to my husband and children who are also having christmas holiday to schools.Barber gave full machine cut to children and when my husband sat for his cutting he asked the barber to give him craff cut with cutting the tuft left last time which was about 6 inches long now and tieing it.I told him to get headshave with tuft left as it is religous to keep tuft always once it is spotted.My husband did not agree and finally he agreed for zero machine cut round the head for one and half inch above the ears and half inch craff at the top with leaving tuft of 2 inch long.Barber also advised to have fullshave instead of this type cut but he has not agreed.Any way I think little improvement.However he told next time onwards he znd children go to saloon and get haircut.Again I am puzzled.

I had my full tonsure with leaving shikha on 6th Dec 2014 though my wife little annoyed and said you coukd have get neatly cut craff.Since it was around 3 months since my tonsure in pitru paksha it was around 3 inches long hair which tonsured smoothly by rinsing with water and brushed by cream and kept for few minutes while putting the half blade in razhor. I have decided to go for full tonsure thpough my wife objects here and there.

Its a very good experience, nobody in the society around you will tease about his bald look, rather once, its habitual, they will rather ask about tonsure, they will remind about clean shave etc.
My wife also support me in my mission. We are both planning in around April or May 2015 to have a venidaan at Prayagraj Tirth, where with due rituals, we will perform the same. This ritual consists of the clean razor shave by me, cutting 3 butts of my wife´ s hair and immersing the same in the Triveni Sangam and then clean & total shave by my wife at the banks of the Sangam. While performing this rituals, I will have to sit nearby her and encourage for clean & total smooth shave of her head with razor.
This ritual shall be performed only by a lady whose husband are alive for betterment/upliftment of the entire family.
By the way, what about you? Have you done anytime clean shave at Tirupati or else where? You convince your husband about clean shave like me and accompany him to the barbershop or go any tirth place whether this ritual is being performed.
