hi,

My baby is 9 month old. He suddenly starts crying in night . if i put him in my lap and shake my lap, he stops crying and continues to sleep

Can you comment on why he is crying suddenly like that

breast feed her in sleeping position and let her sleep in your bed. it really worked for me

Could be colic, teething or hunger.

Are you giving him medicines for gas ? If not, check with your pead... also make sure you burp him esp after the last meal / drink before sleep. Reduce dals for a few days and see.

It could also be teething.

If it is hunger... then please ensure he gets milk at night.

Rocking probably makes him feel sleepy, thereby reducing the discomfort. But, if he is in a lot of pain, then over a period of time, this may only work briefly.
