hi all,

Iam a new member to this wonderful june club.Iam in my 5th week of my first pregnancy.EDD on june 31st.I happened to go thru this website accidentally while browsing all pregnancy related sites.Iam very happy now that i landed up here amidst a group of wonderful persons who are also going thru similar phase of life like me.
i went thru all messages,suggestions from experienced already moms,indeed very helpul especially to those going thru their first pregnancy.Thanx a lot to them.

I just want to share with u all about what i feel these days.i dont know if its normal or not.My home pregnancy test came out positive in one day after i misseed my periods( my periods being regulaar)So this Diwali day ,also our first Diwali after marriage,by Gods grace was the most haappiest,joyful day with this gr88 news.we consulted doc n she confirmed pregnancy n prescribed me to take folic acid tablets..as i had traveelled a lot,i haad severe lower abdominal pain n also pain similiar pains like menstrual cramps during those daays when i missed my periods.doctor indeed made me little tensed by saying if severe pain continues,u should come for scan,it can be a case of tubulaar pregnaancy.Due to the anxiety,my BP also came out very high..Doc prescribed some tablets for pain,n also one tablet for vaginaal insertion named Susten200 mg.Do anybody know whats this tablet actually for?pls let me know.
thanx to God ,thaaat abdominaal pain n cramps went within two days after taking tablets n good rest.now i feel quite ok .My next appointment with doc is tomorrow.

when i came to know that i was pregnant,i was happy ,tensed,i dont know how to explain it,indeed a mixed feeling..mayb all feel like that..i was feeling very tired n very sleepy in the last week.i felt like sleeping more than ever.my faace suddenly became little dark n pale which i noticed n others also.

now after a week,iam feeling gr8 ,not much tired ,my face also baack to normal.but one thing i noticed is i feel very very hungry n also iam eating very much, but even i eat little i feel my stomach is filled much.i feel much weight in my stomaach than before. Do aanybody feel like this?
i sometimes feel little menstrual like cramps when i get down from cot etc.iam taaking gud caare.

i do yoga daily for the past 3 years,now i have stopped it.i think aafter 5 or 6 months ,its safe to continue some less strenuous,easy exercises.if anybody of u do aany yoga or exercise,just let me know.

think its time for me to stop,what i felt all these weeks,i wanted to share with someone who r aalso going thru similaar time.pls excuse me..

Hi Sangeetha,

How r u doing now...how is ur cramps...actually cramps r gud indication that uterus is expanding...dont do yoga till 12 months completed and then ask ur doctor abt it. i did one U/S in 5th week but doctor said a very small sac only that is not visible clearly to him so he want me to come agian in 8th week...hope he can see fetal pole atleast if heartbeat couldnt find as early...i am also getting very tensed as i want to see my baby as early but i hv to wait one more week...:-) but fetal heartbeat is depends on condition some can hear in 7 th and some in 9th...and some till 11th...so dont worry and dont be hurry to hear...first of all its importent to see a clear sac.

Drink coconut water twice a day...and eat dialy 4 dates...and take one fruit after ur every meal...and soak 5 almonds in milk overnight and eat it morning...it giv gud iron...i am also using duphaston as a precautionary...

u said u will go to MIL's house but ask ur doctor weather u could travel or not...

Congrats on your pregnancy and welcome to the board.
Shilpa n Varsha are rite,you have take a gud care of your self now,with proper diet like fruits,veggis,milk(dairy products),food rich with vitamins and protins.

You mentioned being hungry and eating lot..:)dear its the normal tendency when we are pregnant.But my Dr.suggested me not to gain too much of weight during 1st trimester,coz later on the intake will be evn more.

Try to split you large meal instead of just 3 make it 6.have b/w 2-3hrs interval.try to have more fruits and drink plenty of water.

Thanks to Shilpa ,SP ,for ur nice replies.it is indeed very helpful.i will take care to drink lots of water n eat nutritious food.u guys also taake gud care
btw today was my appointment with doc.i aasked her about the menstrual craamps which i feel sometimes.she said its bcos the uterus is enlaarging or developing,thats why that pain.today is my 42nd day.she told me to do ultrasound by 7th or 8th of November,as iam leaving to my inlaws house on 9th.i had actually come to my house for Diwali.
btw during 7th week ,will foetus heartbeat will start?pls let me know when u aall guys did ultrasound?whaat was result then?varshaa ur U/S over?

She told me to continue the Susten tablets till the U/s is over.

Congrats Sangeeta!!! and Welcome to the board.

Everyone do have different experience during pregnancy. Thankfully, till now i dont have nausea and even in the last pregnancy i did not have. Yes like you, i feel very sleepy. Even i had something like menstrual cramps when my preiods date was nearing. I did not think i was pregnant till the dates passed. Slight stomach cramps are normal. I have also been on Folic acid and duphaston (i guess its progestrone tablet).

Its advisable to take good care till 12 weeks. And as Varsha said, drink lot of water, becoz there are chances of Urinary Tract Infection also. So drinking lots of water will solve this problem and it will also keep your body hydrated.
Abt yoga, do consult your doctor. Each body is different, so doctor will be the best person to suggest. During my last pregnancy, my gynec had a yoga section for all her pregnant patients who have crossed 4 months. But looking into my history she did not allow me to take classes. So your doctor only will be the best person to judge.

Hi Sangeetha,

First of all a Big Welcome on this board....u r right that here all lovely ladies shares their every updates towards pregnency, and yes its very nice to hear frm u, ur pregnancy is quite surprised for u and its good rather to being suffer to become pregnent since several years as a lot of women here in that situation and ofcourse i am also one of them...

But u shld take toooooooooo much care abt ur self till 12 weeks complete. first 3 months r veryyyy senstive for pregnancy women....and sustain tablets content r progestrone...it gives for precautionary abt the hormone progestrone releases frm corpus luteum...after the ovulation if u conceive to give support the embryo....and it keeps ur body temparature warm, and take good rest dont excert urself much...

my EDD is june 28th and my 6th week is running....by the way june has only 30th naa but u said 31st, i couldnot understand....

a good wishes to u and ur husband and take care of ur self....and drink atleast 3 liters of water everyday as my dr. suggested me to keep body hydrate....
