Due Date Club December 2006:update

Hello friends,

I called my Gynec regarding the rectal bleeding problem. She said nothing to worry. She said 98percent of women get haemorroids (piles) during pregnancy. And since, I already have them before pregnancy, i will have to see the worst case scenario. She said haemorroids will start become worse in our journey till delivery.

She asked me to take Colace(100mg) or Goldline(100mg)tablets once in the morning and once in the evening. Also, asked me to use either Preparation-H ointment or Anucil ointment as needed. Added to this, she told me to include more fibre in diet.

From tomorrow i will start the medication and see if this gives me any relief. I preponed my appointment to 11th. So feeling happy.

How are you gals doing? Take care.

love,
blessed_mom

Hi blessed_mom,

Your pre-existing problem is adding to you pregnancy. Prunes are a great way to add fiber to the diet. You'll see a big change. If you like prune juice (I don't!) try that too.

Sorry for this unsavory suggestion. A similar problem occured to someone in my family. She found that switching to the Indian method of cleaning with water after passing bowels seemed to help.

Take care, TA
