It might be bacause of the iron intake (leafy vegetables and also if you are taking any iron supplements).

Good luck!

Dear Scared,

I do not think you have anything to worry. Still if you want to then give a call and tell your Dr.
Yes, Iron will darken the stool color, Iron at excess quantity will also lead to constipation.

These things are normal and they happen even when you are not pregnant, just you don't worry them while not pregnant.

It's always good to clarify from your Dr.

Dear Scared!

May be you are suffering from Constipation, which is perfectly normal. If you notice the type of stool you mentioned is hard to pass and accompanied with a drop of blood may be what I said is true.

Just to be on safer side you do not want to ignore this and bring immediately to the attention of your care giver. He/she may recommend you some medication or diet to help remove blockage or soften the stool.

Constipation is perfectly Normal while pregnant!

Dear Scared,
It may be nothing. I suspect it might have been something you ate that has added to different color of stool. Some vegetable or salad. I don't think this will be something of worry still you should give a call to your Dr.
I wish I knew precisely.

Take care
