Womens Issues:too much ego? how to handle?

Name: dsa I am getting married to my bf in 2 months.but its only now tht I realise that he has too much male chauvinism. He does not mistreat me etc but a few statements r so.
Ladies,I want to know from you ppl,r all men like this?? Does this fact need to b adjusted with?

As for your individual case, much would depend on specifically what your level of tolerance is and what exactly do you object to in your bf...

If it is something that can make you bitter and sad over a long period of time, then it is time to take stock as to whether yr bf will make a good husband or not...

Being romantic before marriage and spending money on you is not the same as taking care of you when you are sick, sharing in household chores, helping in taking care of a baby, discussing important stuff with you before reaching a decision, supporting you and standing up for you in times of need, doesn' t belittle you or get angry with you if you disagree with him on something....

hi thks ritika. well,he is not too egoistic. and he is practical.so he did not always spend time with me etc.infact he is balanced in that regard.small things irritate ne,nothing tht makes me sad majorly.but i was worried since he was not like this. and as i read your reply i understood why he may b like this. thats becasue we r making our future plans and since i am not agreeing to him he kind of is sarcastic and shows insukts sometimes. but he is also nice to me at the same time. so wat can b done? and as far as other things r concerned i very well know tht he wil share house hold activities etc. just thay we r not able to decide in which country we will b settling. so there is lot of fights.and this one thing he is not able to agree to me.otherwise generally he sees tht he atleast hears my opinion.

sandy is right...

they dont change their entire life, so dont try to change him. I u dont like what he says just dont listen or else ur entire life will be like an 18th century lady.. my hub is 70% like that and i dont listen to him eg: he asks me to press his leg every night,, i dont give a damn about it and act as if i did not hear him ...best of luck

Male chauvinism

No, not all men are like that. But if you have decided to marry such a guy, YES you have to put up with this all your life. Such characteristics generally do not change and are associated with his childhood, bring up, family values etc.

It has both sides, tilting more towards bad!
