You might feel I am thinking too much but we have to consider this. As i told in my earlier mail my husband has got a job offer in Singapore for $7000, and i am grateful to HI and SUma for helping me with my initial queries.

acc. to those replies $ 7000 is a decent pay. But after making all the calculation we found out that at the end what my husband can send us in India is $ 2115 i.e bet 60-65 thousand.

In this case we dnt feel like accepting this offer as at the end the difference in wht he is earning here currently n wht he will send here from singapore is not too much as after staying separetly we should atleast get inhand Rs. 80000 - 100000 for savings.

I want you all to go through the expenditure chart i have made and correct me i am wrong somewhere which will help me to decide exactly what ammount (Rs.) will come in our hand.

I am a Singaporean and my income is slightly more than $4K. If your hubby can get $7K it is really great. After his monthly expense he can sent min of at least $4K home.

You didn' t reply about the kind of accomadation you are looking for? which costs much.... then you can afford ..... even transportaion is not that matter..... and also you didn' t mention the balance $1800 after you have deducted all your expenses including money to india.... After deducting all the expenses you can save $3915 (including money to india). Am I right?

As I told you earlier, you have to pay $500-600 for accomodation.. i.e as paying guest in one room and others sharing another room. If you want 2 room flat (i.e 2room, kitchen, hall and bathroom) for rent.... (as one room you can' t get according to Singapore law), $1000 is not enough... you should pay minimum $1200 as rent every month for whole house. Staying as paying guest is cheaper. First decide where he wants to stay.... then connsult an agent and talk to him.. he will make an arrangement of his stay.

food - he can make at home (at least some day in a week).... so he can save money. If he choose to stay as a paying guest he can share the water and electricity bill with others..... If you get full furnished home you can do your laundry on your own.... in this way you can reduce the expenses. This all depends what kind of living style you choose. We are staying here for the past 10 years.... we never gave laundry outside.

As per your calculation.... out of $7000 after deducting all the expenses including money to india... it comes $5200 (if i am not wrong)... what about the balance $1800.
