I just wanted to know how can you tell that you are expecting in the early stages. what are the signs.
Also my friend is a bad diabetic and she has just had a misscarriage. do you have any advice for her, she was 8 weeks and she is very upset. i think she has given up

Follow these signs:
1. Missed menses (this is a strong sign but does not necessarily mean pregnant).
2. Some lower abdominal cramps like you will get period but does not happen
3. Tender breast
4. Some taste alteration or sudden nausea
5. Feeling tired or dizzy spells
6. non itchy, non colored or non odored vaginal discharge
7. Frequent urination
8. Breast getting congested and some time resulting in breathlessness
9. Appearance of vein on the breast
10.Change of cervix color.

When combined at least 4-5 signs then there is high chance that girl is pregnant.

About your friend:
Time is remedy. She needs to overcome, I know it's very hard on her. But 85% miscarriages take place before week 12. There may have been some defect in development resulted in the loss. If such baby is developed further will born with some anamolies and you would challenge baby for the life. I know this is a hard moment and deep grieve but she needs to overcome. Friends like you can support her morally and help her making good choice for her future.

Her diabtetic conditions would not necessarily be cause of miscarriage. Tell her if this is what she is grieving about.
