Hi,

I' m currently in my 13th week and I have been going to Sagar Apollo for consultation. I' m not quite happy with the service they have provided.
I have good reviews about both \" Cradle\" and \" Wockhardt\" . Could you all help me in deciding which is the best among the two.

I would sincerely appreciate all your suggestions.......

Yogitha, you have no doubt heard of Rashmi' s case in Wockhardt. The lady lost a healthy baby due to medical negligence at the hospital and paid Rs. 2.2 Lakhs for it too. Nice burial money for a healthy child raring to be born.

The hospital says that they did everything right and that they will do the exact same thing with their next patient too.

Do u want to be that next patient? After paying so much, do you really want to take even that 1% risk of losing your baby? Harsh as it sounds, thats just what happened.. the child DIED.

Dont take my word for it. Please google on Rashmi Wockhardt story and you will know more.

My advice is only this - if i knew you as a friend, i would NOT let u go to any of those doctors, and to that hospital.
If you want to know more,

Hi Yogitha,

First of all, the prices in both the hospitals are comparable. In fact,The Nest quotes higher than Cradle.

That being said, you should probably go by your instinct. Feedbacks can only give you a hint, but can' t help you decide.

Sajuis recommending Anu Sreedhar. I consulted the same doctor for my irregular periods and had a horrible experience with her. In such cases, it is difficult to decide who to go with.

Similarly, I have heard 5-6 first hand reviews of Cradle and all have been satisfactory. That does not mean that when my time comes, I will have a great experience.

Can you believe I actually read a review from a US lady which said Cradle was filthy?

Different people have different expectations and experiences. So, base your decision on practical things like distance, cost and comfort etc.

Hi Yogitha,
I think Wockhardt is a good Idea. My wife is consulting Dr.Anu shreedhar in Bannargatta road Wockhardt. Very good doctor and you will get personal attention too. Hospital is also good. Of cource, you have to pay bit more, but value for money. My wife got admitted in hospital during her 9th week due to spotting(now she is on 11th week) and the personal attention was cool.

Also you can talk to your consulting doctor to her personal mobile at any time, in case of any emergency questions, and they will direct you. I feel it is very good and I have already called our dr 2 times and she responded very responsibly. This Dr and hospital has referred by my friend and they also have good experiences.

In Wockhardt also you can find packages for maternity and delivery called ‘nest’.

Regards,
Saju

Yogitha, I' m 18 weeks pregnant, being in West B' lore I personally have no experience in Cradle/Wokhardt/Sagar Apollo. I consult a very experienced & old Gynic who was my father' s collegue too, since she is very simple she doesn' t scare me with very strange & complicated terms & problems. She believes in natural process rather than too much usage of technology. Sorry, this is my personal experience though!!:D My cousin recently delivered a healthy baby boy in Cradle & she told me that it is a very good hospital especially for working & new mothers. They gave her a package treatment from beginning till end & she didn' t have to worry about anything. But the baby soon developed Jaundice & the treatment to the baby was pathetic due to which she had to switch hospitals. But no idea about Wokhardt, sorry! Best of Luck!!
