Hi Reema,

I am on Folvite 5 mg and Susten 200 - thrice a day, which is a progesterone supplementary coz I had a bit of spotting in my 4th week. My GYN just is being cautious and will reduce the dosage after my scan next week.

I haven´ t had severe constipation yet. Just mild coz I had a pizza. But other than that I´ ve been pretty good with my diet.

Did you exercise in your 1st trimester? Coz I was going for 20-30 min walks till i started spotting that one day. Then my GYN asked me to rest till the next scan.

You have shared some great tips there and even i agree that taking more meds than necessary is not good.

Thanks. :)

Hi Riya

Yes, I have been having the same problem - and although its not severe it can be irritating - and tends to get worse as our pregnancies progress. During my first pregnancy (thsi is my second) I was prescribed Cremaffin too and had it without any adverse effects. But one natural option that worked well for me was Isabgol - since its just fiber, its supposed to be one of the safest and most natural ways to address this pesky problem. Just a couple of spoons in a glass of water shd do the trick.

All the best

Vidya
